Leda Swann
MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate, Conversation Seeker, Cultivating Presence
Leda grew up on a commune-style farm in rural Pennsylvania and earned a BA from Middlebury College and an MA in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University. She is currently pursuing a certificate in Modern Psychoanalysis at the Academy for Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis (ACAP). A mother of three and a longtime practitioner of yoga, meditation, and Jin Shin Jyutsu (a form of Japanese acupressure), Leda is passionate about supporting the well-being of the whole person.
Leda offers a safe and comfortable space where clients can explore the aspects of their lives that they value and also those that they want to change. Her approach combines Mindfulness-Based Therapy and Psychodynamic Talk Therapy, fostering warmth and curiosity while encouraging clients to openly share whatever is on their mind. Leda believes that expressing thoughts and feelings leads to greater self-understanding and comfort, even during challenging times, ultimately improving relationships and life clarity. She seeks to understand and support each client as an individual, and believes that such understanding and support can help clients develop a capacity for greater self-compassion, self-awareness, and self-actualization.
Leda supports clients who are struggling to navigate life transitions, parenting, relationships, family dynamics, anxiety/depression, trauma, and grief and loss. She works with adolescents and adults, viewing the therapeutic process as a catalyst for self-reflection, exploration, and personal growth. Leda helps clients resolve what is getting in the way of achieving their personal and professional goals.
Leda provides online and in-person therapy at her Boulder, Colorado location.
